Centered on Taking Technology’s high-end optoelectronic detection equipment of turret series, this solution is dedicated to building an integrated low-altitude security monitoring and countermeasure system for efficient detection, tracking, identification and evidence collection of low-altitude targets such as UAVs. Adopting optoelectronic turrets equipped with stabilized platforms and high-performance sensors, the system realizes long-range, all-day and precise detection and tracking of low-altitude targets, especially consumer-grade, small and medium-sized civil and illegal UAVs. It delivers critical low-altitude situational awareness and target designation capabilities for scenarios including airports, military key sites, vital infrastructure and security protection for large-scale events.
Airport and Aircraft Safety: Provide 24/7 continuous surveillance of the airport clear zone to detect, identify and track intruding UAVs in advance, safeguarding flight takeoffs, landings and air corridor safety.
Protection of Key Military and Government Facilities: Guard sensitive areas such as military bases, command posts and nuclear power plants to prevent reconnaissance, payload delivery and harassment operations carried out by UAVs.
Security for Major Events and Crowded Areas: Monitor airspace during sports events, large conferences, ceremonies and other gatherings to avert safety hazards and privacy violations caused by unauthorized UAV incursions.
Prison and Detention Center Protection: Monitor low-altitude airspace above custodial sites to stop UAVs from smuggling contraband, establishing illegal communications or assisting escapes.
Border and Coastal Defense Monitoring: Serve as fixed or mobile detection nodes to enhance monitoring of low-altitude, slow-speed, small targets, such as UAVs used for smuggling and reconnaissance.
Protection of Energy and Industrial Facilities: Secure critical infrastructure including oil depots, chemical plants, dams and high-voltage transmission lines against illegal mapping, sabotage and safety incidents triggered by UAVs.
Case 1: Vehicular Reconnaissance, Tracking and Positioning Project for Mobile Units
The ZT260TA is suitable for integration into UAV countermeasure vehicles to form mobile reconnaissance and designation units. With low weight (≤15 kg) and compatibility with unmanned vehicles and armored vehicle platforms, plus excellent vibration and shock resistance, it enables flexible mobile deployment outside airport perimeters, around major security events, and along energy pipelines. Equipped with uncooled infrared and 30× EO channels, the device conducts round-the-clock scanning of “low, slow, small” targets within a 3–5 km radius. Its automatic recognition and tracking function quickly detects and locks intruding UAVs against complex backgrounds. Once a threat is confirmed, the laser rangefinder with ≥8 km range delivers real-time precise azimuth, elevation and range data (accuracy ≤2 m). Such fire-control-grade coordinate data can be fed seamlessly through the vehicle command and control system to guide the integrated radio frequency jamming system or navigation spoofing system for directional, precise countermeasures. This delivers mobile rapid-response capability characterized by “detect upon acquisition, track upon lock”.
Case 2: Remote Early Warning and Situational Monitoring Project for Fixed Sites
The ZT600TA acts as a core sensing node of regional early warning and command systems, installed at fixed locations such as airport control towers, high vantage points within core protected zones, and border guard towers. Its mid-wave cooled infrared camera and 50× EO camera deliver outstanding long-range detection performance (capable of identifying a standard human target at 6.35 km). During routine monitoring, it provides high-definition observation of distant airspace with an extremely narrow field of view (0.45°×0.25°). When early-warning radar or spectrum monitoring systems detect suspicious signals or targets, the ZT600TA can slew rapidly (speed ≥100°/s) toward the designated airspace for fine bi-spectral identification via EO and thermal imaging to distinguish target type, size and quantity, and perform precise ranging up to ≥3 km (accuracy ≤2 m). All captured images, videos and coordinate data are transmitted in real time via gigabit Ethernet to the command center, supplying reliable visual evidence and parametric support for threat level assessment and decisions on whether to activate long-range high-power jammers or electromagnetic suppression weapons. Deployed together, these two products build a three-dimensional UAV defense and monitoring network covering short, medium and long ranges.
